The growing pains from our early success and rapid expansion at aCommerce meant our legacy systems could no longer keep up. Ben and his team were known to be leaders in innovation in SEASIA. Their architecture, design, and implementation of our Channel Partner Management system gave us detailed and flexible control over our inventory handling across all our partners in a single app which was previously managed by multiple spreadsheets.

They also built our Smart Ship 4PL package routing service which has been one of our key disruptive capabilities in the fulfillment and delivery space. During the development of these tools their team embedded alongside our existing dev team transferring tech skills and knowledge so aCommerce was fully capable of taking over development and operations with no vendor lock-in. Now aCommerce is a recognized leader in these technologies across SEASIA.

Finally Ben served as an advisor and due diligence consultant leading our warehouse management system selection by thoroughly evaluating our needs and over a dozen existing products as well as custom development solutions. His extensive objective criteria and insights from his prior experience in the warehouse space gave us the ability to evaluate the pros and cons of each choice for our own unique use cases. The integration with the selected vendor went remarkably as Ben predicted allowing us to anticipate challenges in advance of them being blocking problems that could have made the project nonviable.

Minor Food

Minor Foods operates nine brands across several countries using disparate custom and vendor supplied point of sale, inventory, delivery, and customer loyalty programs. In an attempt to consolidate these systems we were evaluating the purchase of an existing technology.

Ben and his team were brought in for the technical due diligence expertise. Working with the marketing team and technology teams they produced the first consolidated requirements document ever to describe our full business flow. Then a buy vs build cost analysis of the vendor's system was performed. Ben and his team went through over 40 sets of source code and its history consisting of 800,000+ lines of code of various technologies producing a multi-variate analysis of independent techniques which converged into a consistent price range. This was invaluable for our team to make an informed and confident decision on how to proceed.

Ben was able to address business concerns such as complex IP licensing and conflict of interest issues due to his decades of experience participating in IP acquisitions. The combination of broad and deep technical experience with appreciation for business priorities and impact makes Biggest Lab a unique practice group in SEASIA. Rentals Illustrated

Rentals Illustrated was originally a print publication for helping property owners list their places for vacation rentals long before AirBnB. We eventually built a website to start building our online presence but managing both types of media publishing was difficult and the site was not very flexible in its navigation.

Ben and his team were engaged to build us a new website with modern technologies as well as improved property map navigation. The new size was extremely responsive providing real-time updates of matches as the user adjusted the search criteria making discovery of properties far easier and more enjoyable experience. The map content also updated in real time giving renters clear understanding of their options.

The back-end system vastly improved the owner user experience for managing their property details and availability. Finally the new site could directly export updates to the properties in a format that made publishing in the newspaper version a breeze. I definitely recommend Ben and his team for being able to migrate us quickly and affordably to a solution that addressed all our original concerns as well as introduced us to new capabilities we didn't realize were available.
